🌆 Xinyi District — Week 1 Base (Aug 29–Sep 6)

Din Tai Fung (Taipei 101 Mall) — ~7 min walk. The benchmark XLB.

Taipei 101 / Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 — dozens of food-floor options under one roof.

Kanpai (老乾杯) — Japanese wagyu BBQ, premium Xinyi branch.

Linjiang (Tonghua) Night Market — ~15–20 min walk or 1 MRT stop to Xinyi Anhe. Local, far fewer tourists than Raohe/Shilin/Ningxia.

Chung Ching Shrimp Rice — hidden gem in the Taipei 101 food court, next to DTF. Supreme Shrimp Rice, set ~NT$268 (~$9). Good DTF-queue backup.

GOOD CHO's — café inside Xinyi Assembly Hall, bagels + craft beer, AC.

Woolloomooloo — hyped Xinyi café, cinnamon rolls, fast coffee.

The Diner — off Taipei 101 MRT, classic Western brunch.

Ding Yuan Soy Milk — budget local breakfast: salty soy milk, shaobing, fantuan, youtiao, baozi.

Miacucina — Italian vegetarian inside Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11, ~5 min walk. Truffle wild-mushroom soufflé omelet.

Salt & Stone — American-Italian, Taipei 101 Mall 4F, ~7 min walk. Good value DTF-queue backup.

味屋洋食 (Aji-ya) — casual Western sets by Taipei 101/World Trade Center MRT exit. Hand-fermented pizza dough.

Splurge (not walkable): Tairroir (3 Michelin stars, Zhongshan) and Mume (1 star, Da'an, ~20–25 min) — book well ahead.

Shio (salt) ramen in Hakodate — the style originated here, lighter and cleaner than Sapporo miso.
